Raven Extremum
Description
Introducing the first board from Raven Pro - a sub-brand for demanding riders. Open Mind is perfect for big hills in the park and backcountry, but also for aggressive allmountain riding. This is not a board for beginners so we recommend it to advanced snowboarders.
The board uses wood core molding technology, thus creating a three-dimensional structure. By doing so, it was possible to preserve the thickness of the core in areas that are responsible for the board's diagonal stiffness and at the same time slim down the core, such as in the middle of the bow and tail section. As a result, the weight of the board has been significantly reduced compared to boards with traditional construction and similar stiffness.
Wide strips of carbon, arranged in an X-shape, are responsible for the pop, but also a very dense triax fabric both under and over the core, which has additional strips of beech wood. The IS7500 sintered glide used from Austria's Isosport makes the board really fast.
OpenMind's flex is medium-stiff, which on a numerical scale can be described as about 7-8 on a 10-degree scale. The board is a classic camber, true-twin, meaning it is fully symmetrical.
